Outdoor Garden Fountains

Outdoor Garden FountainsOne way to spruce up your yard decor is to add unique garden fountains to your landscaping plans. Garden fountains add personality to your yard and can be used to create a tranquil atmosphere that helps you relax. They're also impressive when showing off your new garden or yard decor to friends!

Create a Theme-Based Garden
You can use garden fountains to build the theme of your choice in your garden or yard. There are fountains that resemble animals, plants or flowers, statues of people, religious themes such as angels, etc.

Here are a few examples of how themes can be illustrated with garden fountains:
  1. Religious Garden Fountain: Sprinkle religious garden accessories throughout your yard, such as garden flags, wind chimes, statues, welcome signs, etc. Make sure the colors and type of material used is uniform. For example, if you favor copper garden ornaments, then try to use all copper if possible. Then you can place a copper garden fountain with a religious theme in your yard to match the ornaments. Your decor will look neatly arranged and well planned!
  2. Floral Garden Fountain: If the theme of your garden decor is flowers, you can illustrate this with some colorful garden accessories. Place floral ornaments near pretty flower beds, fences and pathways to enhance your yard. Next, add statues and garden fountains made of stone or fiberglass (light colors) that have floral patterns engraved in the stone as a finishing touch.
  3. Animal Garden Fountain: Animal themes are very popular for garden decor because they automatically blend well with nature. A popular decor item today is the copper animal ornament, which changes its look over a period of time to a lovely green finish. Whether it's one type of animal such as frogs, squirrels, birds or deer or a variety of animals, these ornaments work great.
To create a bird theme, you can add garden flags, signs and wind chimes with bird designs. A lovely bird bath and garden fountain will blend well with this theme.

Types of Garden Fountains
Once you select a theme, it's time to choose what type of garden fountain you will need. This largely depends on the amount of space that's available and where you will place the fountain. If you have limited ground space and desire to place the fountain near a wall of your home or building, a wall fountain might do the trick. Wall fountains attach to a wall and are flat at the back for smooth installation. They usually appear to be "hanging" from the wall.

Another type of fountain is the tabletop fountain, which can be used as a centerpiece for a patio table. These are usually small and decorative, and come in different sizes, shapes and themes.

A regular garden fountain that sits on the ground works great if you have plenty of space and want to draw attention to a certain area of your yard.

Whether you'd like to build a theme or just add something relaxing to your yard or garden, you can accomplish both with garden fountains!
