In fact, it will save you money, and you can be assured of its contents. Having your own compost pile is the perfect way to recycle kitchen and garden waste while reaping benefits in the process. Composting is just a quick way to speed up the decomposition process in which organic matter decomposes and redeposits itself back into the soil. Normal decomposition takes quiet a while. Composting speeds up the process by using moisture, air circulation, and heat. Compost can be used as an additive with potting soil, or it can be used as a mulch.
