Whether you want to whip up a few quick and easy crafts for yourself, or do a few simple Christmas crafts with your kids, these ideas are fast and simple.
Icicle Ball Tree Decoration
You will need:
- 6 - 3 inch Styrofoam balls
- 6 packages of clear push pins
- Tacky glue or a glue gun
- 1 piece of Christmas ribbon
- 2 straight pins
What to do:
- Insert the push pins into the Styrofoam balls until they are completely covered, except for a small space at the top.
- Push one straight pin through each end of the Christmas ribbon.
- Insert pins into Styrofoam ball where you left the space.
- Add a dollop of glue to the pins before inserting them.
- Dry thoroughly and hand from a branch of your Christmas tree.
Candy Christmas Tree
What you will need:
- 1 Styrofoam cone approximately 12 inches in length.
- 1 Styrofoam base
- Christmas ribbon to decorate the side of the base. (You may add small Christmas ornaments if you prefer.
- A 600 gram bag of candies in colorful wrappers.
- A glue gun or tacky glue.
What to do:
- Place ribbon on the side of the base (or small ornaments) and fasten with a dollop of glue
- Use glue gun or tacky glue to fasten the tree to the base.
- Glue the candies to the Styrofoam cone and add one to the top for a finished look.
- Allow to dry thoroughly.
- The candies can be eaten as long as the glue doesn’t go through the wrappers.
Christmas Card Tree Ornaments
What you will need:
- Old Christmas cards.
- Glue gun or tacky glue.
- Red and green felt or craft foam. (Other colors can be used if desired.)
- A ribbon approximately 6 inches long for each ornament
What to do:
- Use a glass to draw circles on the craft foam or felt.
- Cut out carefully.
- Use a slightly smaller glass to cut out a picture from an old Christmas card.
- Use glue gun or tacky glue and glue the picture to the foam or felt circle.
- Double ribbon and attach to the top of the ornament.
- Allow to dry thoroughly and place the decoration on the tree.
