• Shower curtains- If you have shower curtains in your bathroom, they are most likely the prominent area of color. They present a large area of the same pattern, print, or color. Therefore, they draw our eyes to them almost immediately upon entering the room. Select this item carefully since you don’t want it to overwhelm you every time that you enter the bathroom. Don’t forget to purchase shower curtain hooks that complement the shower curtain. It’s best to buy both of these items at the same time to make sure that they look good together.
• Over the door hanger- If you do use an over the door hanger, get one that is attractive and matches the rest of the bathroom’s décor.
• Bathroom towels and washcloths- The bathroom towels are also one of the most visible aspects of the bathroom. Typically, they add a splash of color to the room that is hard to miss. Select several sets of towels in varying shades of your color choices. Additionally, if you have selected a particular theme, consider acquiring both solid color towels and prints for variety. • Clock- Lots of clocks are available today that can add a unique touch to your bathroom. In fact, handmade ceramic clocks offer a nice way to add a bit of personality to your bathroom. • Plants or plant stand- Some bathrooms are large enough to allow the presence of plants. Purchase plants and plant stands that appear to go with the theme. If you are using a southwestern theme, for example, buy a cactus to put in your bathroom.
• Bathroom cups- Whether you use paper cups that you can throw away or a cup that remains in your bathroom, select something that blends with the theme either with its color or design.
• Soap dispenser- A liquid soap dispenser usually has a prominent spot on the sink area. Again, select something that blends with the theme either with its color or design.
• Decorative soaps and decorative soap dish- Decorative soaps come in a wide variety of styles, colors, shapes, and prices. Purchase a soap dish and soaps from the available styles or make your own with a kit.
• Toothbrushes- These are not essential items to blend in with your theme, unless you are a do-it-all or don’t bother kind of person.
• Light fixtures and lampshades- Purchase new ones if possible since these features are also prominently on display. Get something that blends well with the new look.
• Pictures, picture frames, or framed prints- Not everyone will have these in their bathroom and they aren’t necessary. Typically, if you have a large bathroom with a plain wall, this is something that you might use. If you do use framed prints or pictures and picture frames, select something that is complementary to your theme.
• Wall sculptures and wall plaques- Unless you have a large bathroom, you won’t need to worry about wall art. If you do get these to spruce up your bathroom, get something that goes well with the theme since it will most likely be very noticeable.
