You could almost believe this is a real member of that noble profession, The Fireman, or in French, Le Sapeur. But the little friend on his shoulder kind of tips you off that something is not quite as upright as it seems. Posed with foot atop a hydrant, and a used hose in hand, this rough and rugged fireman is the epitome of a hard-working public servant. Fabulous detail shows the beard stubble on his face, and the ribbed sweater he was wearing when he got the call and tossed on the rubber coat. But it is, of course, another of the incredibly funny sculptures created by Guillermo Forchino. The fireman, or even collectors of figurine art, will treasure this hilarious gift.
