Old Hilton Head Miniature Lighthouse

Originally the taller of a pair of lighted towers, the Old Hilton Head lighthouse stands today as the remaining structure, and the only one in the state of South Carolina. The skeletal style helped to make it a movable facility that could be shifted according to the shape of the passage. Today it stands on solid ground, a handsome cast iron building topped with cypress rooms. It makes a great souvenir of life or vacations on the shores of this beautiful state.
